Today is day #1!
I’ve had a lot of day #1’s in my life. In fact, I’ve had a lot of first days even for this one goal. You see I have this goal that I’ve been hanging onto for a few years. It’s the Women’s Half Marathon in Nashville, TN. Thanks to my friends’ encouragement, I have decided this is my year. I am registered and ready to go!
There are 17 weeks until this September race. I’ve tried to stay focused for the past few months. Now, it’s do or die! I don’t have the luxury of time being on my side anymore. It’s time to be serious, to be fierce, to push past my comfort zones and be completely ready for this race. This is going to require training (including running and cross training), a change in my diet, and what I think is the biggest challenge…learning to fuel and hydrate before and during my runs. The latter is something I’ve always struggled with.
I’ve got a long road ahead of me. And I wanted a place I could keep track of my progress. I hope you’ll join me on the road to my first HALF MARATHON!!!
